APDS: The
Listserver for Surgery Program Directors and for Surgery Residency Coordinators
(ARCS)
A listserver is basically
an e-mail distribution system. In this case, when a subscribed
individual wishes to post a message to all other subscribed members
of the APDS and the ARCS, he or she simply sends a message to the list
address.
To subscribe to the list
PLEASE NOTE: Effective February
2003
this list embraces over 400 Program Directors, Coordinators, and other
authorized users. Please
keep in mind that this audience will be reading your messages when
you are about to hit the "send" key. The
server then automatically mails out that message to all subscribed individuals.
Said individuals may then reply to that message, and in turn that response
is sent out to all subscribed individuals (of course by changing the
"To" line on the response one may also generate a private
e-mail message to the originator of the that first message).
