The University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky has an open position for its ACGME accredited Surgical Critical Care Fellowship for the August 1, 2020 - July 31, 2021 academic year. Our program also offers an optional non-accredited second year as a Trauma Clinical Instructor. We are looking to fill the position with a highly qualified, recent general surgery graduate interested in pursuing a career in trauma/acute care surgery/critical care. The University of Kentucky Hospital trauma program is an American College of Surgeons-Committee on Trauma accredited Level I Trauma Center. UK Hospital Trauma Center is the only center providing tertiary trauma care for Central and Southeastern Kentucky, offering a unique opportunity for exposure to urban and rural trauma care. Our facility manages 3500 traumas annually with the addition of 1800 EGS admissions. The fellow will be supported by five core faculty boarded in Surgical Critical Care as well as a robust clinical research team.
