The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education recently approved our program to increase the number of categorical positions from 3 to 4 residents per year. We are looking for an applicant who has completed a PGY-1 year at an ACGME-approved General Surgery residency program and is in good standing with his/her current program. Qualified applicants should submit the following documents, via email only. Please consolidate as many documents as possible into one PDF file. Indicate PGY 2 Categorical Position on email Subject Line. * Updated CV * Medical school diploma * Medical school transcript * MSPE (Dean's letter) * USMLE/COMLEX Transcripts (a first-time pass on all exams is required) * Personal statement * ECFMG certificate (if applicable) * Citizenship/Visa Status * Defined Category Case Log Report * 3 letters of recommendation from current faculty - 1 from current Program Director * Only complete applications will be considered. Candidates selected for interview will be contacted by email or phone.
